Bought two mini pies today (butterscotch and coconut cream). Those were great! Also bought the regular banana cream pie. It was also really good. It’s been hard to find somewhere near boca to get a banana cream pie, I’m so glad I finally found this place!

We finally tried The Upper Crust Bakery. This is a family owned and operated Bakery, in business since 1978. Must be doing something right. We purchased the Cherry and Apple Crumb and I will tell you i'm ready to go back and get a Blueberry. All homemade, ingredients, fruit plenty of it. It was actually a heavy pie. I will never buy a Frozen, big box store pie again. They are local, well worth the drive.

It's a bakery, so the "typical" atmosphere is not expected as in an "eat-in" restaurant. I have been a customer for decades. Their pies are the best I have ever tasted. The crusts never disappoint if you like "short" crusts. I usually buy the key lime pies and I even take them home - 1,000 miles away so that family can experience the goodness. My father, when first seeing me after many months, asked me first, "Did you bring the pie?"🤷🏽♀️ Then he said hello after I answered the question! When traveling by plane, even the flight attendants want the key lime pie! I told them I would rather fight you than my dad!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Warning: if before a holiday, there will be a waiting line. Order in advance to avoid the wait!
We were very nervous to buy a Key Lime Pie for $21 because we haven’t tried many key lime things in the past (mostly because they were too tart and never tasted very good), but the reviews for Upper Crust Bakery were great and we happened to be staying at a friends nearby. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Emphasis on “was” because the pie was gone in a day 😳 The crust was exceptional and the key lime was just slightly tart and had an overall light taste. A 5-star experience and we think it was worth every penny 🙏
